well, since virginia has, in the last few weeks, managed to shut down 85% of the abortion providers in the state, i guess it’s time to start that ‘business’ i’d been thinking about. folks trying to get an abortion will have to go to DC, or to one or two hospitals in central virginia, and they’re going to need a way to get there. it happens all too often that folks who are too young to drive themselves, or don’t have the means of driving themselves have to take buses.

but personally, after just having an abortion, i wouldn’t want to spend all the money i had on a bus, nor would i like to sit on a long bus ride in the middle of the night. so i was thinking it would be maybe just a teency bit more comfy if they were able to ride in the back seat of my volvo?

i figured that i could take one or two trips a week to DC for folks to snag a ride to a good abortion provider, but one or two trips probably won’t be enough. 

so if anyone in richmond/virginia would like to jump on this bandwagon and provide some help to uteruses in need, please talk to me (enya.vs@gmail.com) and we can start brainstorming ways we can get the word out about this mission, and hopefully implore the community to help us out financially (gas, emergencies, snacks, more vehicles, etc.).

it would be really fantastic if anyone with a car, or a license, or really nice bedside manner, or ties to clinics in virginia to advertise through would be willing to volunteer some of their time to helping folks in our fucked up state get the procedure they are entitled to!
